Welcome to Physical Education at Oxford
The following is a general outline of our Physical Education Program
Participation: The aim of physical education is to ensure students can grow as physically literate individuals. Therefore all students are expected to take part in the physical education program to the best of their ability. If a student is unable to participate in certain physical activities, please ensure you send an email or a signed note outlining the parameters of this situation.
Class Preparation: Students are required to bring the following to every class
Sneakers
Students are able to change in the locker room, or more privately in the washroom prior to and following class. On a regular basis physical education class will be conducted outside, perhaps orienteering or other forms of Outdoor Physical Education. Students will be given prior notice and will be asked to dress appropriately for the elements.

General Curriculum Outcomes for Junior High Physical Education
Students will be expected to:
A. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be active for life
B. Demonstrate competencies of skill and movement concepts and strategies through participation in
diverse physical education pursuits
C. Participate in diverse physical activities that will foster personal, social, and emotional growth and responsibility

- Comfortable clothing for students to be active and sweat in
- A change of clothes is recommended so students are not returning to class sweaty
